Need Help: 1995 GT 5.0 V8 standard - Wed, 01 Sep 2010 04:00:11 GMT-
Hello All.
I am trying to help out a relative. I am not very automotive savy. I am studying mechanical engineering so I can understand anything you will provide, but please excuse my lack of real auto knowledge. My grandmother is about 57 years old and is having a horrible time with her purple baby. I was contacted because she doesn't feel comfortable on the internet. Here is the story:

Need help with my timing - Mon, 30 Aug 2010 01:31:22 GMT- I have a 1965 289v8 3 speed car with points and condenser. I recently replaced the cast intake and 2 barrel carb on the car with an aluminum intake and a 600cfm AFB carter carb. When I swapped the parts out I marked my distributer but the engine got bumped so I had to retime my 289. I hand turned the car until I got TDC on the balancer and I put my finger in the number 1 spark plug and felt the...
66 Disc/drum master cylinder - Sun, 29 Aug 2010 20:48:25 GMT-
I have a 66 with front discs, rear drums and the "original" 66 single pot disc/drum master cylinder. The upgrade was done by a previous owner (which is why I'm not sure how it's supposed to be plumbed). The brakes work OK but it seems like the pedal comes up just a bit if I pump the pedal once when stopping.
The master cylinder has two outlets on the front (one straight out the front and one b...

Can't start my 65 - Thu, 26 Aug 2010 17:43:11 GMT- I've had a 65 289 Coupe for about 4 years that has given me very little problems since I bought it. Had some electrical issues last summer when I wired in a stereo amplifier, and ended up sourcing to a bad alternator and a poor connection with my voltage regulator. After all that I thought all was good as it started up fine and got my 14.4 volts to the battery. Didn't touch it for several we...

This is supposed to be an original Coupe with all matching numbers, but I don't know if this number series makes sense from what I can see. This belonged to one owner, an old lady that only drove it to the post office.

Hello. I've had a transmission cooler that's gone bad. I replaced the rad, drained the transmission. I filled it up with dextron 3. Now the tranny slips on passing gear?? Did it ruin my tranny, or is it the oil that is not the right grade? The tranny was working fine before. Any info would be appreciated

Right hand steering conversion - Mon, 23 Aug 2010 10:03:25 GMT- I have an 1965 Fastback in Los Angeles, California. I'm now living in Jakarta, Indonesia. Rumor has it, I can get it into the country but the left hand steering may be an issue when trying to register it over here. Are there conversion kits available? Perhaps I could get one installed in Los Angeles before I ship to Indo. Thanks!
